Pearlage, a very common finish in movement decoration, consists of a decorative pattern formed of multiple circles called "pearls," which slightly overlap. This technique can include hundreds of perfectly aligned circles. Primarily used on large flat surfaces such as bridges or plates. Here we use it on the periphery of the main plate to give it a depth effect.

Côtes de Genève are a common decorative pattern in high-end manufacturing processes. They are characterized by slightly raised parallel undulations. These decorative motifs are commonly used on large components such as rotors, plates, and bridges. From an aesthetic point of view, Côtes de Genève create pleasing light reflections and give movements a more dynamic appearance. We have chosen to ornament the center of the mainplate with them so that they are the focal point of the movement's decoration.

We manually perform an operation to change the color of the steel through a thermal process. This treatment results in a uniform blue hue, offering not only an aesthetic appearance contrasting with the silver of the plate, but also a technical value. Indeed, this controlled oxidation protects the steel against corrosion, thus enhancing its durability.

The multi-block brass rotor of the TK-1 automatic movement, adorned with decorations, has been carefully redesigned to enhance its aesthetics, allowing for better visibility of the mainplate through it. The body of the weight is made from a lightweight material to balance its opposite tungsten axis, thus offering increased inertia. To provide a variety of contrasting or harmonious finishes with the rest of the movement, it has been treated with a PVD coating to allow a choice of color.
